Vacation, Seasonal and Second Home Insurance CoverageInsuring vacation homes can sometimes be a challenge. Due to the typical locations of second homes and vacation rentals, these homes are typically at greater risk of brush fires, hurricanes, flooding, vandalism, and theft, along with damages incurred when the house is rented. If your primary homeowners insurance company will not insure your second home or vacation rental, you have come to the right place.
In almost all cases, if your second home is occupied on an intermittent or non-continuous basis for less than 5 consecutive months, you will be eligible for our special programs. If you ever rent the home to others, for any length of time, you should also purchase either our “Occasional Rental Endorsement” or our “Short Term Rental” endorsement to ensure you do not lose coverage for perils such as vandalism, malicious mischief or other reductions in coverage when the home is vacant or unoccupied.
